and other pollutants accumulate on drapes, blinds and shears and detract from the beauty of drapes, shears and blinds.
We strongly recommend letting us do the take down and rehang for a couple of reasons. Number 1… Those draperies are tougher to get back up than they look and Number 2… Some wrinkling is bound to occur as the draperies will have to folded and banded over a seven inch hanger as opposed to being delivered full length by us.
When is it time to clean?
Your draperies were a big investment when you purchased them. If you will take proper care of them they will look beautiful for years to come.
Most draperies should be cleaned every four or five years.
Occasional vacuum cleaning will extend their life.
Sheer or open-weave fabrics are similar to furnace filters. The air circulating in the room passes through the fabric and the airborne
dust impregnates the fabric fibers. This dust, combined with cooking or tobacco smoke, pollution and ultraviolet light, will damage the fabric
and shorten its life. Sheers and open-weave fabrics should be cleaned every year or two. They will look fresher and last longer.
